NIKE FLYING SHOE

Nike Flyknit shoe launch in Australia. Nike wanted a way to tactically take advantage of the largest running race in Australia and the mix of professional and amateur participants.

The idea generation process started with static blimps and ground based experiential, finally ending on a giant flying shoe, combining aerial and experiential

A 3D image scan was taken of the shoe, from which a 15m replica was then constructed out of foam (to get the texture right) with an engineered steel frame for lifting by a helicopter!

The shoe and a banner with campaign messaging then took to the skies above the race!
